There’s still time to rest though, winter is not over for a while and we don’t need to push ourselves into growth season early. Brigid’s healing waters as us to slow down right now and allow the season to wash over and within us.

I always take a long bath, surrounded by candles, and spend time in deep meditation and trance. This is the perfect time to take a pause and consider where the winter season has placed you and where you might want to go in spring.

My best advise for myself and anyone who reads tarot, is to focus less on what each card “means”. Open yourself up to alternative interpretations, allow yourself to follow a thread even if it doesn’t end up going anywhere. Trust and let go.

This is especially true when I read for another reader; the part of me that wants to desperately check in, make sure I’m reading the cards “right” for someone, etc.

Letting go of control over which card pops out, quieting my conscious brain, disrupting my own expectations of how the reading is going or should be going.
