Good grace, the common good and a healthy irreverence. Spare me the hatred and bullshit, give me the evidence.

Words matter, intelligence wins.

Living lightly and with respect on Bundjalung country in Australia. Gay.
Totoally with you, but was referring to an announcement a couple of days ago that the Department of Immigration was looking at AI to process immigration applications.

My sort of choir, MsPraxis. But I fear we are descending rapidly. We may not be in the yeasty sludge at the bottom of the barrel but we're heading for the cloudy bit.

The immigration one worries me, Linotype. AI tends to bring our the worst in people as the algorithms compete for the attention economy. Demonising immigrants is the pissweak haters' go-to for rage targeting. Ai loves it.

Very true, Morabeets.

It means 'anti-fascist'. Something these militarised fascists just don't quite understand.

Difference of opinion is a threat. Political dissent is therefore treason.

How the fuck did we get here?

True, but watering down our gun laws will never work. By definition illegal gun ownership is criminal.

Don't look to the Americans about anything. The post Trump media landscape is a master class in bigotry and gaslighting.

The social landscape is rapidly following

AI triaging 000 calls?
Follow the logic.

You would think that Australia's largest tech company would have the best, Rolls-Royce version of AI.

Ever tried to phone Telstra?

Not ever. A trained and compassionate human is irreplaceable.

Hey Ben, give it a rest. You're not really doing yourself any favours.

I reckon ASIO will be all over it.

It really is a hateful cesspit. If those bozos have their way, the death penalty will be reinstated for kids pinching lollies.

The gun laws have worked very well. It may never be 100%. But we aren't America.

Our gun laws radically reduced the already very low incidences of gun violence.

We don't have school shootings, mate.

This was targeted and truly awful.

They feed their audience, Anthony. The attention economy and rage bait go hand in hand.

However, the terrorist attack still doesn't change the fact that there is no forward vision in Australian politics. There is absolutely no thoughts beyond the next election.

And in the interim, Australia is wallowing in a dangerous vacuum.

I concur. Just had a trawl through the shrieking idiocy on the "major" socials.

The attention economy is in overdrive. Just save the energy and let the authorities do what they have to do. #auspol #media

Nothing's changed. They're still idiots.

The 'March Australia' crew really are sad and misguided. Their anger at everything makes them incapable of thinking through what they're parroting.

Hanson is a miserable racist. This apparently is her favourite photo. Talk about not getting it.

Emma Phillips is the artist/photographer.

Please explain why. Their fundamental problem is prosecuting corruption without undermining public trust in governance that is by far mostly good in Australia.

The entertainment industry hinges on violence as social validation. First person shooter games to heroic extra-judicial executioners, the notion of toughness is linked directly to violence. Intellectual protozoans like Tait and Sandilands weaponise homophobia and misogyny. It's the norm.
