A real pleasure to contribute to this @edlab-ctl.bsky.social video series on #educational #research. Offers an insight into our research on the #international #classroom in #PBL and into how @carlahaelermans.bsky.social and I collaborated.

There’s a paper here somewhere @simonusherwood.bsky.social

“The reality is completely otherwise, in that the Vuelta as well as many other races have always been affected by external protests like the pro-Palestine demonstrations of this year's Spanish Grand Tour.”
A 'deep well' of historical and political context – Why are there so many pro-Palestine protests at the Vuelta a España?
Four stages altered so far and security radically heightened as protests repeatedly affect 2025 race

Interesting graphic in today’s European Correspondent newsletter - how is the fixed book price that exists in several countries connected to this?

@simonusherwood.bsky.social and I hope this will be the start of a new @uaces.bsky.social trend: clothing that is reflective of your paper’s topic

Had a great time presenting my #cycling paper on the #Europeanness of pro cycling and attempts to globalise the sport. Helpful questions, remarks from the audience during the first ever @uaces.bsky.social cycling panel!

Loving #UACES2025 - going to #food/agri politics, #teaching and #learning and #cycling (?) panels, thinking about European identity in weird and wonderful corners of our diverse European studies community @lauragelhaus.bsky.social @simonusherwood.bsky.social @patrickbijsmans.bsky.social
Example of how EU cookbooks obscure colonization when talking about links between Vietnamese Pho and French Pot-au-feu (from Laura Gelhaus) Fascinating paper by Huseyin Sakalli on collaboration skills and how to get students to learn them Two colleagues wear cycling tops to their cycling panel at #Uaces2025

Approximately 650 km - 4 countries (🇳🇱🇧🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧) - 4 trains - just over 10 hours (with generous transfer times 🥐☕️). But now just a few minutes away from #Liverpool for #UACES2025. Drinks reception still ongoing, I hope…

Day 4 of our @fasosmaastricht.bsky.social introduction week came with a pub quiz with staff and new students. Our staff team ‘unfortunately’ turned out to not be up to date with the music of today 😝 Fun evening!

The EU is a market with 450 million people.

There is vast public support for regulation of big tech and for companies to meet their responsibilities.

Giving in after a decade of efforts in this space is undesirable and unnecessary.
