Hell, I dont see a world where Ubisoft make a game like Far Cry 5 in this current climate - even if they spent a while insisting the game had no politics.

An indication of how things have regressed from 2016 or so is that I dont see a world where a game like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus get green lit by higher ups in 2025.

I'm really excited about Jurassic World Evolution 3. When I was laid off at Dexerto last year, for about 5 days, I fell into a JWE2 comfort blanket. Hoping JWE3 is a nice hug once again.

Marvel Rivals could have been the death knell, but it wasn't. Team 4 executed a plan and committed to it. Juno, Freja and Wuyang are great, and Stadium is a significant expansion of the game. I strongly believe that, despite a year of ongoing game fumbles, Overwatch has moved forward significantly.

Like, I know, haha lol, Patrick likes Overwatch - but in my opinion, as a guy whose career right now is made off of being the 'ongoing games guy' - if Overwatch isn't nominated for Ongoing Game at Game Awards this year, frankly, it's just wrong.

I contend with some of the notions of this being Supergiant's first sequel - and it definitely feels 'safe' by their standards. I do 100% get the want for a team like that to continue to experiement as they always have - but man, like... the Hades formula is just exceptional.

DnD Campaign 2 character is locked in. Completed the HeroForge model, and their backstory is done. I'm seriously so excited to play this cool as hell, angry fire woman who might be a touch too into vengeance and manifesting chains as part of said vengeance.

I don't want to pile on to the writer, so I deleted the post. But for that to happen, something is seriously wrong with the training or understanding of what should be basic practice. Hard to say who's to blame, but the fact that it happened is *wild* and is indicative of loss from experience bleed.

Reviewing Silksong under time constraints is one of the more stressful I've ever done. It's a great game, but when you need to be making progress, it can feel like you're in a scene in Whiplash when you don't have the luxury of time or being able to walk away. It's been grueling.

The Underworks. Fell down an elevator shaft. Deep into the area now - and there's no way in the area for me to travel back to previous areas. I intentionally skipped lots of upgrades for when I needed them. I now need them, but can't go get them until I get through this place.

I've gotten stuck in Silksong, and it's utterly ruining the experience for me. Had a great time with it for a while, but I'm now stuck in an area I can't leave, and I need to beat an arena I've been stuck on for 4 hours - triple what I've spent on any boss. I can't leave to level up. It's miserable.
