In the 1980s “cycling accounted for almost half” of all passenger traffic in Douala. Though cycling has declined since then, it has been making a comeback – guided by experience. Learn more in “From Commute to Competition,” by Salifou NDAM and Pareick Rérat (@patrickrerat.bsky.social).

We did a research to address the various effects of a new cycle lane (including cyclists' experience). We could also control (most) confounders. The literature part has several references that may be of interest...
