I'm wary of arguments from evolution as they tend to fall into a naturalistic fallacy; just because something's natural doesn't mean it's good! But I do think anger is ultimately valuable because, like other emotions, it shows us how things are. I'm more with Aristotle than Seneca on this one.

Devo are awesome. I've always been fascinated by how their experience at Kent State changed things for them: they started developing 'Devolution' as an art student joke, and then when the shooting happened they decided no, it's not a joke anymore, things really are devolving.

Yes, I actually used a snippet of that dialogue in my radio doco on Valentich a few years ago. (It’s very similar but not identical.) The other bit of context people leave out when criticising the investigation is that this is happening only 18 months after the Connellan Air murder/suicide:
