How far down or up the straight would the racegoers be at York? No winning post in the photo.

It was the only one of the four that I didn't have to think about.
It hasn't changed a bit.
November 17, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Well done anyway. I think you are right with 4, too.

Clock tower is clearly Manchester. Surprised that no-one got that. Ive seen similar photos before.
I can figure out Hexham, having seen the answer.
Salisbury is obvious.
Haydock I never get, always bowled centre stump with photos of it.
I never went to Haydock, but have been to Chester n Aintree.

Amazed that was 3-1. I can see York, at a stretch. The others not at all.

Did you mean 2 Ascot 3 Ally Pally?
November 17, 2025 at 4:32 PM
Yes. 3 has to be Alexandra Park now that I've seen your answer. They are above the handle of the frying pan below the palace and you can see the rails at the V. Well done, Rob.

1 Pontefract? 2 Ascot?

4 is definitely Salisbury, fingers crossed 🤞

Still popular over here in 🇫🇷. I'm 70 but can testify that the younger generation 25+ all know Desireless and Voyage Voyage.
In a trade-off I am now a fan of Mylene Farmer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1Le...

Need to get back in the Monday habit. I see I have missed at least one Lingfield. Damn and blast.

Re the Sandown photo, I never knew there was an era when owners, trainers wore bowler hats rather than trilbys.
I thought it was Trilbys and Panamas since the war.

One out of three ain't bad. 👍

Not wild at all. A short-price favourite in my book.

I've never seen any photos of Pershore, and I looked quite hard at one point. Even went to its location.
June 17, 2025 at 4:30 AM
Not at all. Lingfield's stands were always significant.
