I remember when Apex shadowdropped, it consumed me and my roommates for a while as our go-to game. I don't think that would've changed if there was a similar announcement and radio silence beforehand.

The game spoke for itself, I'm hoping Highguard is a similar story here

Yeah, that does sound like a perfect storm for reception to the trailer being iffy. Gonna give it a shot later tonight; if the game is good, I hope that'll be enough to drown out the negativity from the lead-up

I have 0 clue why it seems so many instantly wrote this game off. Don't know if it's hero shooter fatigue or what, but there's been this weird giddiness around wanting it to fail when it looked fun
