Kidlit folk are putting ONE CAN BE into LFLs. Eventually, we'll have at least one in each state. It makes sense, because ONE CAN BE is about how LFLs help people connect.

New Hampshire is our 12th state. 38 to go!

Cathy's book, THE LITTLE RED CHAIR, was a @cybilsawards.bsky.social
finalist and is a beautiful look at a family chair loved for generations. She also has a nonfiction book PEW: THE STINKY AND LEGEN-DAIRY GIFT about a 1,400-pound cheese wheel given to President Andrew Jackson.

I'm just a breath away from finishing this David Bowie picture book biography that's been in the works for literal years. I'm excited about it, and it will be out in fall of 2026 from Neal Porter Books. It's called STARMAN.⚡️

Kevan and Ellie make amazing picture books. Kevan also created Microsoft Word’s (in)famous Clippy, the well-intentioned talking paper clip. Ellie’s a former classroom teacher and is on the advisory board for the Bigfoot Kids Book Festival.

That makes me happy, because ONE CAN BE is about me, too. I always say books need a "universal human emotion" anyone can relate to.

I should trust a book about me also is a book about someone else. Because I'd rather not work at Taco Bell. (I can't make change properly.) 2/3
