So hyped for you! use as many slurs as possible!

Couple gotchas being it won't get better until a human actually rewrites it, and again, it's awful. For me (and I suspect others) getting shitty code that barely works is ok for that.

I think there's a place for this, I do embedded and backend stuff for the most part, so getting an AI to do the CSS for one of my projects is a huge time saver. I'm sure it's awful dog shit, but I don't care to learn the 'language' that is CSS and that's fine with me.

Do I make a table for every valid word for every user for every custom game for every language? That feels wrong. Can I use table names programmatically? Should each user have their own custom game table? If so, should it also be for every language? Should I just give up and use a NoSQL/JSON DB

Or have one for the whole family! Lucky enough to have snatched my last name as a domain, I just hope I'm not stuck making websites for relatives.

On Samsung there's a plugin that lets you do that and even listen to music while watching a video. And adjust volume and output device per audio source.

Unrelated but just throwing it out there that getting Andre3000 on one of the Cold Blooded Soul covers for MME would be awesome.

I'm not saying it's not greed, but for actual usage data, opt in or even a prompted choice will completely influence the results to the point of being unusable. This only applies for some situations, others are just data whores, but it should be mentioned.

Quite simple - we are too stubborn to use any other tool :)

In rust we have a similar expression: "find the right task for the tool".

I'll start with a goal like exporting a batch of files from an API, and a week later I'll have a rust lib with programmatic binding for that API and no working program.

I need to realize that there's nothing wrong with using a shitty script filled with string literals sometimes.

I'm still looking for a job, so no disastrous rm -rf'ing the prod DB, but over generalizing the architecture.

This person was upset that windows was giving ads to switch to windows 11 despite not having hardware that supports it. I think some people were suggesting a workaround to get windows 11 without a TPM.
Not sure though

Splorgus is ok I guess but you should try glorb it's way better and you'll see how silly you were before once you switch to glorb.

If you want some empirical data and professional unbiased opinions, check out Gamer's Nexus end of year round ups. They are made just for this, to recap the last year and make recommendations for various categories. (Including last gen parts, this year kinda sucked except for the 9800x3d)

As someone who hosts their own VPN server, I have so far been super pleased with Proton, they offer free versions and seemingly arbitrary TCP traffic. The company seems super ethical and their underlying tech is solid.
November 25, 2024 at 5:31 AM
I am not a big fan of Nord because of their misleading marketing. They try to make it seem like without a VPN your passwords are out there in plain text, preying on people who don't know what a VPN is. I haven't tried them though, so maybe their product is better than their marketing dep.
