Jordan and I smoke pipes from time to time. Maybe only a handful of times a year, but I enjoy it. It’s way more work than cigarettes or cigars and I know that dissuade me from doing it more (along with health side effects).

This is nothing... right?

I just learned that pocket globes used to be a thing. I absolutely would have ported one of these around with me.

If it is a snowday in Paris, it should be a snowday for everyone everywhere! Just stay home, stay cozy, and we'll try again tomorrow.

It’s snowing again in Paris!

Nineteen years ago @jordanprins.com and I got married. Over our two years of dating it was clear she was someone of depth and knew me in ways no one else had. We’ve only gotten better year after year. Here is to many more together!

Snow falling heavy enough in #Paris to nearly obscure the sight of Eglise Saint-Paul Saint-Louis. These streets are even more beautiful under fresh snow.

It's snowing and wonderful in Paris today! Snapped some good ones wandering to and from the grocery store.

The current number 2 show on Netflix France is a burning Yule log! I love it here.

Oh! I have photos of the process. The potato ricer we got this spring to help make dumplings for a stew. It makes near perfect consistency mashed potatoes as long as you’re light on the touch after using it.

Here’s to you, here’s to me, here’s to Christ who came to be…. present among us. It’s late and I’m out of rhymes. #ClergyMaltClub
December 24, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Oh, #ClergyMaltClub sounds lovely, we’re in. We have a bottle of Oban 14 on the ready, pictured here with a few thousand eucharistic hosts. Don't worry, we won't be intincting here.

For those of us who wear white robes as a part of our vestments... how do we feel about this top hat? It feels like it is right out of a Dickens story (as at least one priest and one bishop have already mentioned 😂). I walked past this on the way home from church today. Should I get it? ⚓️

I just learned about the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards & will now bless you with them. This gorilla won overall. It's amazing but my fav is the foxes. This link takes you to all the winners & the website also feels like the good old internet. www.comedywildlifephoto.com/gallery/niko...

I don't think I will ever grow tired of walking along the river. The fresh air, being able to let my eyes focus into the distance, and how life slows down walking by the water.

The late afternoon light hits different in early December, and the clouds fighting the sky adds some lovely drama.

A big reason we get a Christmas Tree is for the little fuzzy buddy. He loves it and it makes me so happy. Yay for cats!

Post a photo of yourself that people will say is AI but is just a normal photo. I'll go first.
December 9, 2025 at 3:31 PM
Going well so far! 😭

Oh Lord be with me.

Was it wise to carry a 2 meter pine tree home (650 meters through Paris + up two flights of stairs) on my shoulder while fasting? I dunno, I can tell you that it is inside & looks very pretty.

Something, mental clarity while fasting, something. It looked smaller at the florist. I'm exhausted now.

It’s #Advent! That means it’s purple scarf season!
November 30, 2025 at 8:43 AM
It’s now the first week of advent in Paris! The beacon has been lit! Blessings to you and all whom you love. Love is coming and love will reign with peace and justice.

Here is another photo from a few moments earlier in roughly the same location. It's a wider shot, but I haven't don't any post-processing to this one.

I took the photo for this week nearly 20 years ago in London on December 20, 2025. I did desaturate the neon blue christmas lights to appear more white. Those early lights were aggressive. Miss the charm of the old buses.
