I support Lyla’s Law, which would make routine diabetes testing (urine and/or blood) mandatory for babies, toddlers, children, and adolescents when any of the “4 T’s” are displaying: Toileting, Thirst, Tiredness, Thinning.

Great to visit Arundel Ward today with Councillor Laura Robertson-Collins & Riverside Housing

Positive discussion on bringing empty houses back into use, improving the neighbourhood and much needed social housing.

Riverside Hsg & Lpool City Council now refurbishing 35 'void' houses in this area.

Huge thanks to South Liverpool Sea Cadets for inviting me to visit them last night.

It is a fantastic facility where staff provide a truly inclusive & nurturing environment.

The aspirations of the young people were clear to see & I look forward to supporting them in the months and years ahead.

(2/2) We are in a crisis and we are failing people. Delaying the homelessness strategy any longer is not just irresponsible, it will cost lives. It already has.

1,611 people died while homeless last year - this figure includes children. Two-thirds of the deaths were of people living in temporary or supported accommodation.

There was an arson attack at Peacehaven Mosque last night.

The hatred & division in our communities has to stop.

Once again, thanks to our emergency services.

My thoughts & prayers are with everyone affected by this horrific attack today.

The politics of division & hatred has no place in our society.

Last nights interim published figures of CLP nominations for Deputy Leader are very encouraging for Lucy Powell. With 221 to 140, that’s 61%.

Final nominations will be known tomorrow but this shows clear support from members from the length and breadth of the country.

Some great fringe events taking place at Solidarity Cafe over the weekend.

Looking forward to welcoming people to our fringe on an alternative budget at Cafe Solidarity on Sunday at 12 pm.

I have signed my colleague Kim Johnson MP’s letter to the Prime Minister urging him to abolish the 2 child limit.

It now impacts 1.7 million children. We have to scrap the cap ⬇️
