…2 stories that take a massive leap forward and set the templates for so much that was to come (and they are both great btw), you almost have to pity the poor old Smugglers, one of the last gasps of the programme’s initial premise sandwiched between these giants, but it still has a lot going…

Quite a period of change (and not just the obvious one) - from the whimsy of Gunfighters and Toymaker (my least favourite Classic story), through the pulp Sci Fi of Savages (a story that *sounds* amazing and tops my list of most wanted missing episodes) to War Machines and 10th Planet…
