Texting while driving with your knee. I also took a photo of the license plate number and I’m always tempted to post these things, but I don’t. The police are the ones who are supposed to enforce traffic laws.

I saw this today.

See this guy texting while driving with his knee? I look out my window and I see this every day. It’s so dangerous. Yet in Vancouver BC, under this current civic government, there is almost no enforcement.

Restaurants and bars in BC can purchase directly from craft distillers. So if you’re short of alcohol during this labour dispute, contact us at Deep Blue Distilleries.

There is a vodka shortage in BC liquor stores because the job action. We hear of people stocking up. We’re running full tilt to meet demand at the private liquor stores. DM me if your store or restaurant is running low.

We’re hearing of people stocking up on liquor here in British Columbia. The BC government workers union job action has led to a shortage of alcohol and private liquor stores. Many government liquor stores are closed. We are working hard in our distillery to meet demand.

When Talk Like A Pirate Day approaches, we fly our flag.
September 19, 2025 at 5:23 AM
Tomorrow is Talk Like a Pirate Day. In 2018 we created a series of short films to give legal advice in pirate character. It was revolutionary and transformational.
A documentary filmmaker has now made a film, debut is tomorrow, called Pirate Land, the true story.

Check out this fantastically well-preserved Citroën I spotted in Valemount BC. Note the matching trailer.
Gorgeous car.

First time returning to Jasper since the fire. The location where the family homes were located (long ago replaced) all burnt out. No sign of uncle George’s tunnels.

ChatGPT5 is an enormous improvement. Still, so many of the former Canadian PMs seem to resemble George W. Bush, which is curious.

AI is not ready to replace us.
I asked for information and a portrait of each of the first 4 Canadian Prime Ministers and the last 8 (most recent) with their years as PM and either their most important achievement or an important statement made. This is what it produced.

Clark had a choice. They had the Family Truckster or a Volvo available for their cross-country vacation. Had they taken the Volvo 244 GLE, they would have arrived safely and had a wonderful journey but it wouldn’t have been much of a film. 🤷🏻 #vacation #nationallampoon

We hereby officially retract our “vision of the future“ image from the 2024 Acumen Law calendar (for obvious reasons).

With near to zero traffic enforcement in Vancouver people have simply stopped obeying any rules around cell phones. I see dangerous situations out my office window near daily. And I’m a traffic defence lawyer.
What happened to general deterrence? No enforcement = no deterrence.

We have a sign above the door to remind all about the presumption of innocence when clients come through the door.
We work hard, so when they step out the door they remain not guilty.

Our distributor on the Island told us that liquor stores wanted a replacement for a U.S. product. Chief distiller Juan said we could do better. Now Sour Goose is flying off the shelves (flying). We’ve hired more staff and we’re increasing production.
Sour Goose is so delicious.

It’s Canada Day and I’m on the ferry headed to Victoria with a truck loaded with spirits.
Trade wars have winners and losers. Our newest product, Sour Goose, has been a real winner since we quietly rolled it out a few weeks back.
It’s so popular on the Island. 2nd truck delivering.
