I understand your general criticism in AI, yet i do not share it. To me being able to do what i've done but at lightspeed is just outstanding. Not only time but energy spend reduced by a huge amount in this case btw. I'll not using a renderfarm or something here, all done local on a single gpu.

One way to do this even in Halflife 1 was to mirror the geometry and make that copy inaccessible with half transparent geometry brush
