I feel a bit like a teen girl saying this but the limited series tv show Dash & Lily has become a regular Christmas watch for me, every year. Midori Francis is so charming! The writing is so fun, clever, and cute!

It's not very Christmassy but I wanted to finish #HazbinHotel season 2 during dinner and it did not disappoint. i'm not even a theater kid nor (not even recovering) Christian but that "sinners are redeemable PLUS broadway-quality songs PLUS the filthiest language" combo somehow comforts me. 7/10

Mike Schur, creator of The Good Place left some messages on some stones for us in #AManOnTheInside season 2. Kind of rude to make us cry like that in a sitcom... again.

#GetVaccinated #WearAMask I swear this isn't just a repost from last year... I'm just CONSISTENT! It's okay if this post is coming to you late because you already got your seasonal flu shot. It's okay if you already got your 2025 COVID formulation. I just waited u... www.instagram.com/p/DQfv0H7CZke/

The astonishingly charming #NobodyWantsThis has dropped its 2nd season on Netflix. I tried going right in to S2 Ep1 and immediately felt lost, so I'm rewatching the first season.

Not even lukewarm take: this series has a hot-as-shit LA soundtrack. Obviously cold take: KB and Adam Brody are HOT.

The problem of #GoodFortune , the mediocre urban-fantasy-comedy film w/ Keanu Reeves & Aziz Ansari (I thought he was canceled?) is that from the premise you can easily predict every plot point. Rich people have it easy? A wealthy guy doesn't want to give it up? LA is costly? Come on. 6/10 bc Keanu

Aimee Lou Wood made essentially a lovely 3 hour long Rom-Com-ish film into a 6 part complete story limited series with #FilmClub. That was brilliant, both genius and enjoyable. The beats broke tropes, but the direction eschewed exposition in captivating ways. 8/10 from me.

The 6 ep first season of the animated #TheSistersGrimm on Apple TV+ delighted me. The main characters would occasionally frustrate me immensely but in a frankly realistic way that real children might. Billy Harris' Puck sounded like David Tennant in a great way! A lot's packed into the eps. 8/10

There are new episodes of Pokemon Concierge that I can watch! I'm not even into pokemon but it's just such a cute and soothing show full of felt and rubber looking animation.

#HoneyDont starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pine, and written by Ethan Cohen and Tricia Cooke is f*cking amazing! So much nudity and sex! Great dialog! Tricky mystery! Kinda like a lesbian version of Fletch but sexier! 9/10 stars

There are many problems with many aspects of Netflix's Sandman but I wish Kirby Howell-Baptiste could just keep playing Death forever in DC live action stuff.

Wow. I was expecting a cute animal movie in #ThePenguinLessons and there is some of that.
I was NOT expecting that it was also a movie about standing up to fascists. A movie that explicitly says bad guys do bad things, but when a good person does nothing, that is the worst. SO GOOD! 9/10

By halfway through the second episode of #SherlockAndDaughter, I'm so absorbed in the show that I didn't realize how much I've consumed already. The writing is pretty good but David Thewlis and Blu Hunt are handily carrying the whole thing with a charm I wasn't expecting. I'm SO in! Only critiques:

I like British things but I am not British so I just now saw Best Bits of the Big Fat Quiz Show and they covered the quiz show of the 90s that ended with Mr. Blobby?????? Idk what tf that is but it was the most I've laughed in months. Oh, I hurt myself.

Geez. Disney money plus Doctor Who is really something! I loved LUX even though I'm still not 100% on board with the running plot point of the SPOILER of SPOILERs. The 3 stand-in characters were DELIGHTFUL! I hope they keep reappearing! Despite the problematic era, there was needed fun in there.

What the heck!? Why are purpleair air quality readings so terrible around LA and San Diego before sunrise this Saturday morning?!

It's like someone at the CW watched Wednesday and then heard Watson was coming to CBS/Paramount+ and thought.... what if we COMBINED those???

Then was born Sherlock & Daughter! idk, I'll check it out.

Hope they decide to retaliate against the Trump adminstration.

I'm up to episode 5 of #MidcenturyModern on Hulu, the new sitcom series about 3 gay men who decided to move in together in Palm Springs in the latter half of their lives. I wanted to get a few episodes in before declaring it's DELIGHTFUL! Linda Lavin, Matt Bomer, and the Nathans are so funny!

The mid 80's comedy detective series #Moonlighting has an amazing pilot with incredible dialog and acting, I suppose before Cybil Shepherd and Bruce Willis started hating each other... except the last act before the final scene kills me because of my fear of heights. It scares me every time!

If we pretend the terrible early 2000s' sitcom "The New Adventures of Old Christine" is canonical to the MCU, it's a deep undercover op that pitted Agent Phil Coulson against Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. They had a kid together. She played mind games on him. It almost fits.

#RunningPoint It feels like Netflix asked chat GPT to write them a Ted Lasso but from the pov of the woman who owns the team, at a "woke" level of maybe 20%. There were some funny bits and Kate Hudson and Brenda Song were going hard, but ultimately it was hollow and without heart. 5/10.
