Less cars and more public transport / walking and biking infrastructure would also significantly decrease traffic accidents AND come with a whole lot of other environment and community benefits

I spoke to an immigration lawyer who put the argument for it best:

In Germany the debate on dual citizenship has been in an endless cycle since the country reformed it's naturalisation rules in 2024. Conservatives continuously threaten to take away the option again, but so far it doesn't seem like they can

I see people arguing that it won't pass because Melania and Barron Trump are dual citizens, as are mega-donors Musk and Thiel... But the thing is I'm doubtful those people would really have to turn in their other passports - or if they did it wouldn't matter because they're powerful enough
