In terms of of the realpolitik, you can look at it as Europe and others making a business play for the Middle East minus Israel - 70 years after the US displaced them over Suez!

Good piece but isn’t that is what is already happening - Europe and others, led by France, coordinating with Saudi et al to put the 2 state solution back on the agenda. For the US the choice will be all that Arab investment or sticking with an increasingly unstable & isolated and Israel.
