Well worth the visit. Another important site to see: Gernikako Arbola (the Tree of Gernika in Basque) is an oak that symbolizes traditional freedoms for the Biscayan ppl. This example is what is left of the "old tree" (1742–1892), re-planted 1811: its trunk held in a templet surrounded by a garden.
