The average temperature for 2025 at the Bridgeport climate station was 53.5° F, which is 0.1 degrees warmer-than-normal. The annual precipitation (30.77") was the third driest on record. More than two feet (28.5") of snow fell.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the Blizzard of 1996. The two-day snow total at Bridgeport was 15 inches, including seven inches on January 7 and eight on January 8. That eclipsed the snow total of the so-called March 13, 1993 "Storm of the Century," which produced 10.8 inches.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of a memorable snowstorm in southwestern Connecticut. The Winter storm of December 30, 2000, delivered the second highest single-day December snow total (10") on record at Bridgeport. It is only surpassed by the 16" recorded on December 19, 1948.
