I saw him play a Sunday afternoon ‘Come Down and Meet the Folks’ session in a pub in Chalk Farm about 20 years ago. There was a bigger crowd in there than usual that day.

I’d previously seen him getting wheeled out to play guitar with The Proclaimers, when they played Whole Wide World.

You should try watching Barnsley every week. I don’t know about commitment, if they don’t sort that ruddy defence out I’ll be getting committed!

Looking at the England squad on that single, 6 of them have died and 5 of them are dead.

Usually, when bands issue remixes of earlier tracks they make a mess of them (eg The Police’s Don’t Stand So Close To Me), but the Sunny Side Up Mix of Always The Sun takes an already great song and makes it one of the best singles of the 80s.

I can’t go back till I’ve raised enough money, cos there was so much I wanted. And the owner’s a Barnsley fan too. Good lad!

Yes, I picked up an early Bill Pritchard LP for a tenner. I didn’t look through everything, as my daughter was with me. She was extremely patient though and I got 90 minutes. I couldn’t believe the rap section. It’s the best I’ve ever seen, as they had loads of albums I’ve never seen in a UK shop.

Did you know SuperDeluxeEdition are releasing a special edition of the CD soon?

I wrote a lyric quiz once, and one of them was ‘Zippy, Bungle, Jeffery Archer’. My wife guessed ‘It’s The End Of The World As We Know It’ by REM!

Get yourself on eBay and see if any are bidding on masks and swag bags

Indian, for 20p?!? Bargain. One of the greatest singles that hardly anybody has heard, from one of the greatest albums that hardly anybody has heard.

I suspect there are more than a few looking at that collection with a hint of envy

I recall a few of us going to the stand by the door and signing up for your mailing list, when a bloke talked us into signing up for Tom McRae’s, your support act, telling us he’s really good. When Tom came onstage we realised he was the bloke who told us he was really good! Fortunately, he was.

Just been to watch Send Help at the cinema. Rip Her To Shreds played over the opening credits.

Every one a winner.

I’ve never seen that Jilted John sleeve before.

One of the reviews led me to buy it without having heard anything first. I think it was the Uncut one. The way they described it made it sound like the kind of thing I’d like and it soundtracked the next few months of my life. I dragged half a dozen people out to the fab Borderline gig shortly after

Big fan of DOOM (and Danger Mouse for that matter), but he could have loads of ‘debut’ albums, the amount of different guises he had and producers he collaborated with!

I’m guessing that didn’t come with a certificate of authenticity. To me, the autograph looks genuine, but I’d get it authenticated if I were you, cos you’ll get a fortune for that.

I watched the first two episodes and stopped, cos I knew my daughter would love it. So we watched it all together, after which my mate said “did you spot all the ghosts?” Nope! So we rewatched it immediately.

We couldn’t wait for my son to get a couple of years older so we could watch it with him.

Problem is, I don’t think Trump has any intention of allowing any more fair elections.

It’s the view of our house (me and both kids) that The Haunting of Hill House is the best TV show ever. It’s perfect.

We’re actually overdue another rewatch.

I can’t understand why they weren’t massive, when you see some of the bands that sell out stadiums.
