Finally reconnected with some old friends from the '80s. They're keen to meet up. Thankfully no horrible views detected yet, but, you know, I need to be sure about a few things. Voting reform and denying climate change goes hand in hand. Their views are predictable once you know they like reform.

I hope the staff appreciate the fact that we're trying to save their jobs!

Yeah, good point. I've ordered 36 items for later today. One substitute is toilet cleaner. So not a big deal.

I tend to do a quick count of items.

Tried to order it at Sainsbury's a few days ago and no luck. Anyway, good that they're still doing it. I may steel myself for going in a local one tomorrow, though the tills situation may be challenging this time of year...

I remember when my Mum was terminally ill, and the JWs came round, thinking I was easy prey. Someone had tipped 'em off obviously. They seemed surprised that I was more feisty than they expected and left without getting a new convert. I was pretty outraged at the time though.

Yes, that's what I say. If I was a billionaire I'd give most of my money away, but billionaires tend to be tighter than most, 'cos they love money so much.

Tried to get it online, but nothing available there.

I remember a pal had a fake interest approach re Jehovah's Witnesses. They would think he was really interested, he'd eagerly invite them in, and then after ten minutes or so he'd disappoint them... Like you I tend to get rid as quickly as I can unless they're charities. Then I'll kindly say no.

I developed a taste for rumbledethumps, but haven't seen it around lately. Very tasty indeed. www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes...
Rumbledethumps recipe
More than just a brilliant name – rumbledethumps are a delicious combination of buttery mash, cabbage and swede, baked until golden brown and crisp.

Hope it all goes to plan. Still got a few things to get. No, Able doesn't want to be doing that. I don't want to be doing that either!

Mesmerising!

An admirable stance, Robin. I can't think of any other time in my lifetime (I'm 66) when it's been more important to speak out. A lot of people lack courage when courage is required now. I've always stood against injustice, but things have never seemed so bleak as they are now. But hope is eternal.

A lot of Scottish people, under the influence, will see these this time of the year. The Perth baldie is probably the most beautiful type of haggi. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDRL...
