No one said he was pro Russian. He doesn't believe Russia is a problem, and we shouldn't arm up to stop Russian invasions. He wants to unilaterally disarm our nuclear deterant and doesn't believe it will give Russia free rain to use theirs.

In short, a pacifist in the face of an imperialist.

Which is why stopping Russia sooner rather than later is a priority.
