🔎 Today I joined the Housing Leeds estate inspection of the Royals in Hunslet.

It was a pretty standard inspection, with some fly tipping, spotting blocked drains, overgrown bushes, damaged guttering and down pipes etc.

🗣️ It was good to join colleagues from Retirement Life and Housing Leeds today to speak to residents at Arthington Court in Hunslet.

We picked up several items of casework around the maintenance of the site. These have all been referred to the relevant teams to resolve.

A diversionary route will be available via Pontefract Lane and Lakeside Way, before reconnecting with Definitive Bridleway 259.

The works are intended to commence on Monday 6 October 2025 and are expected to be completed by Sunday 27 October 2025.

They were due to return to these bridges in late September to complete the works, however this was postponed due to bad weather.

They’ll now be returning to carry out work on the bridge on 2 October between 9.30am-3pm.

🚧 WESTBURY FOOTBRIDGE WORKS UPDATE

National Highways have recently replaced the anti-slip resurfacing on footbridges that cross the M621 at Westbury footbridge, which crosses the M621 near junction 7 (Stourton) between Westbury Place and Parnaby Road.
