Just in NIH grants, It looks like beautiful Iowa City, home of the U of Iowa, will lose $71m in funding. That's almost $1k per resident. And that's before all the other cuts to SSA, FDA, etc.

Was speaking with a USAID person yesterday explaining how at any other time countless phone lines wld be buzzing, working groups stood up, go-teams and aid being dispatched to after the Myanmar quake. Now ... nothing.

Per capita GDP of Greenland is $57,116 (2021) compared to per capita GDP of Mississippi which was $53,061 (2024). By this token, Vance should hand over Mississippi to Denmark as they seem to be doing a better job of managing Greenland!!
