I was at college with an Iranian girl - they fled after the Shah was overthrown. I also had an Iranian boyfriend for a while and his family were lovely. His mum was a pharmacist and they all remembered the days of Zoroastrian culture that was clobbered by Islam. And so the story goes on..

I find it all overwhelming that this happened and now so many are trying to scuttle away under stones similar to cockroaches when the lights are turned on 🤣

It is saddening when Tech does not do what it says on the tin

It was indeed a great trip out to help celebrate Rosemary for her help and support over the years with HDL.
-By the way, nice shot of me asking the Driver at WAT if some chaps could have a peek inside post cab-prep.

Yup. If you do venture out, Winter tyres are a **must**
I've had them for years and they are simply excellent in situations like this. Get a grip!

It's a fascinating place - I remember going through in the early days of Thameslink and trying to absorb the layout - seeing underground trains running in parallell and taking it all in before diving down towards Kings Cross - Thameslink. My brain then saying "What, where, how? but.."

One of my faves also. I remember this playing on the radio as I drove back from Lewes Tech in the evening.

Thanks, Joe. When you look at the whole area from Blackfriars towards Holbon Viaduct, it is amazing how they crammed it all in and all the redevelopment to replace it all.

Totally agree. I used to make huge lists of stuff to do and wind myself up that I did not achieve all of them - now I make a small list and if I get it done I feel great. Even better if I get one extra thing done!

This sums it all up quite nicely!!

Yup. Had that here in Tun Wells. Ones at the multi storey were removed. Ones near the The Pantiles also removed. Now if you're desperat there is a "process" whereby you locate and ask permission to use loos in the glossy new appt block with prestigious cafe and opticians on the ground floor.

Yup. Agree with you on that.
