Just came back from a wonderful week in Chile with @paulajofre.bsky.social and the ERIS team. It’s an interdisciplinary project where we borrow phylogenetic tools from biology to extract evolutionary histories of galaxies. We’ve even been building our own tools tailored to galaxy evolution.
