Our paper, "Applicability of the Minimal Dominating Set for Influence Maximization in Multilayer Networks," has just been published.

Key findings
- MDS can improve influence spread
- proposed local-improvement algorithm helps reduce dominating set size
- effectiveness varies by network structure
Applicability of the minimal dominating set for influence maximization in multilayer networks
Abstract. The minimal dominating set (MDS) is a well-established concept in network controllability and has been successfully applied in various domains, i

Today, we had a pleasure to host Prof. Maksim Kitsak from TU Delft www.tudelft.nl/en/staff/m.a... who gave a talk about finding shortest and nearly shortest path nodes in large substantially incomplete networks by hyperbolic mapping. :)

This week we have hosted prof Kaska Musial-Gabrys from the UTS (profiles.uts.edu.au/katarzyna.mu...). We have been working on applying control theory and minimal dominating sets to create a better seed set for influence maximization. More about that soon (here and at multispread.pwr.edu.pl/) ;)

Identifying Super Spreaders in Multilayer Networks
Identifying super-spreaders can be framed as a subtask of the influence maximisation problem. It seeks to pinpoint agents within a network that, if selected as single diffusion seeds, disseminate info...
