Here's a thread I plan to update periodically with how to find somewhat popular games from the Y2K era that are unlisted.

No One Lives Forever 1, 2, and Contract J.A.C.K.

On the one hand it's like, god forbid Ubisoft let any of their teams make anything with something to say, but then it's like, yeah, if they let them make this it's destined to be toothless

Started Epic Mickey with my son tonight, game kicks ass.

I appreciate papa Warren's "baby's first narrative consequences" approach. My son was hyped to be able to befriend enemies, and he's really invested in seeing his choice to solve problems with paint being reflected back to him by the game.

Man. I'm playing assassin's creed shadows which I'm very much enjoying, but I'm convinced most of the RPG elements are only there to artificially pad out the game. One of the skill tree choices was literally for a weapon to do 1% more damage.

I don't have any love for South Park anymore but this is hilariously in line with "we replaced all the guns with walkie talkies"

I think the level and gameplay design is definitely better in 2, but it has less of a soul than 1. All the stuff between the levels is lacking. More of a level select screen than an actual physical space where you pick your levels like in 1.

But honestly you're good with either.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right places but I really wish more multiplayer games had game modes with varied objectives for progression. It feels like stuff like UT2004 Assault and the Enemy Territory games and even stuff like Brink are just lost to time

In an alternate universe, my university wouldn't have axed my program after Katrina and I would have a music science & engineering degree.

This is fascinating to me, the whole concept of quantifying timbre is like filling in the blanks between art and science.

A century-old piano mystery has just been solved
