Dabbling, once professional, creative type with a fondness for records, books, movies and a bit of football. Enjoys coffee and a good drink. Be nice.
I love Trier’s films - I suspect part of that might be due to them all being set in my immediate neighborhood 🙂. Happy new year to you!

I really liked Emma Jane Thackeray’s previous album, not so much this year’s

I’m guessing he had to use ChatGPT to figure out how to conceive the child too.

Huge on many levels. Imagine Mo if Dom had missed and/or we’d lost

Articulates very well thoughts I’ve had for a while. Seeing Mo crying at the Kop end after scoring in the opening game it dawned on me this season won't be smooth sailing. Points well made about having to lower our expectations; to allow the players space to deal with the loss of a beloved friend.

I have several reasons for visiting HK again at some point (96 just before the handover was the last time), I’ll add that to the list.

I was 9 and living in Hong Kong when he died; went and saw all his films (I didn't tell my parents) when they were subsequently screened in the cinemas. Good place to see them for the first time.

Beautiful. How known is Anna Ancher (and the other Skagen painters) outside Scandinavia? Skagen is a lovely place to visit btw; easy to imagine how artists would be inspired by the light and scenery. Anna Ancher's house is open to the public; I was in that kitchen just a couple of months ago.

Limiting access is no good but I quite like art in parks where it blends in, not unobtrusively because it's meant to be noticed, but w/o lessening the impact of nature. There's an "art-park" in Oslo which was controversial (mostly because the art was donated by a rich person) but I find it lovely.

That, and an ingrained fascination with other people’s book (and record) shelves.
