However, evidence of this “social desirability bias” is surprisingly scarce. For example, list experiments — allowing people to respond indirectly to interviewers— showed very small and/or insignificant differences between direct & indirect questioning about democracy. (3)

The concern with people's untruthfulness about democracy is so prevalent that it has almost become an assumption, justifying alternative measurement strategies and even entirely new research designs, as seen in Inglehart & Welzel and Svolik, among others. (2)

Parte do trabalho destes partidos vai ser convencer estes seus apoiantes de que é melhor votar nos seus excelentes candidatos em vez de G&M. Não esquecendo, especialmente no PSD, que a maior parte deles quer um PR *mais* interventivo. Um desafio. (2/2)

Nesta amostra, Ventura segue-se a Gouveia e Melo em intenções de voto. Na população, não se faz a mais pequena ideia. Se se tivesse feito outra sondagem ao mesmo tempo, com outra amostra, Ventura poderia facilmente aparecer em 3o ou 4o. É isso que a ideia de “margem de erro” quer transmitir (2/2).
