Considers Brexit to be the most irresponsible decision ever undertaken by a British government in his lifetime.
Main reason I stopped watching TV documentaries & TV altogether.

Indeed they have and I do remember builder friends going to Germany. Some others went fruit picking in southern France, Spain and Portugal as a cheap working holiday.
East Europe & Baltic states, all have higher GDP growth than the UK ATMIT.

I can agree on that. Irony is France warned UK, if we left EU (& Dublin agreement) there'd be no restraining those wishing to leave France for UK. Numbers soared after Brexit.
Culturely EU immigrants were white European, not so now. A shot in the foot if ever there was one.

I & the statistics disagree. Plenty of people in well paid jobs voted Brexit (I know of many) based purely on immigration propaganda including many who actually employed both itinerant workers & resident immigrants; they only to complain later of having to destroy crops due to the lack of workers.🤔

I don't think skills per se was the reason, just anti-immigrant propaganda. Boston had a high E. European immigration as did we here, both voted heavily for Brexit.
The exodus of E. Europeans left many jobs vacant, that situation still remains especially where I live with numerous vacancies present.

I was fortunate to be able to take both my 2 young children and my parents on holidays to France.

Now, with both children adults & my partnership split I travel with friends much further afield & love every minute of it.

I disagree, you've only to look at the campaign by musician artists & entertainers to see what would be the benefits of FOM NTM UK GDP. Many skilled engineers like my son would also benefit.

Government policy has more to do with the creation of poverty, immigration in itself is not responsible IMO.

So I'm wealthy having toured all over Europe on my motorcycle then.🤔

I suppose you're right, however my wealth is definitely not monetary but of the vast array of experiences gained from meeting different people, cultures & lifestyle NTM scenery & history all of which was easy thanks to the EU.

Thanks for the background info.👍

Is that Brussels then being wise and taking a back seat not to get involved?
December 31, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Ah! Hold on.

Didn't Farage say that EU law overrules national laws and that's why we should leave the EU - national sovereignty.🤔

Peace prize? Peace prize? 😂

Trump, the man is a Russian asset warmonger.

A modern rerun of a McCarthy type investigation into Russian collusion and betrayal maybe.🤔

Should be interesting to see if BBC lawyers get to uncover and disclose to the world additional evidence to that already on record should Trump pursue his $10 billion lawsuit against it.

My guess is he'll live up to his nickname, TACO Trump.

Farage will try to be the UK's version of Trump if ever PM. Ignore the law and convention and try to run the country like his own private little theifdom.
