Recently I was selecting a head of lettuce. The price was 1.99. A fellow shopper asked are you actually going to pay 2 bucks for a head of lettuce. I replied I would if I wanted a head of lettuce. Now it’s 2.29 and I’ll probably still pay that. FWIW when Biden was president it was 99 cents.

Tarrifs definitely increase costs for consumers - but reducing tariffs may not.
