A wall of small embroidered trees to signify every village or town destroyed in that period.
There was an antifada dress. The Palestinian flag had been outlawed by Israel so the women embroidered birds in the colours of the flag in an act of defiance. Brilliant!

The Embroidery of Palestine exhibition was both an exhibition of beauty and one of pain and sadness.
Almost all the clothes in the exhibition were from before ‘48. Means they were collected during British occupation.
There was a part on the Nakba. It’s just so sad to read.

He’s so disappointing. And we’re going to get Farage as a result - unless a more lefty figure in the party usurps him and actually fixes shit.

Going back to that show, the guy behind it released ‘The Nazi Mind’ which is essentially the show repackaged as a non-fiction book. It’s very good. I recommend it as a companion piece or on it own.

I wish when the tariff pish was kicking off that we hadn’t grovelled. It was a time to rally the other G8 nations (excluding the US) to unite and fight back. Isolate them economically and open up trade paths with everyone else.

The one difference is that Hitler had an ideology. I don’t know that Trump does other than his own narcissism. A lot of the evil is driven by those around him coupled with petty grievances from his own fragile ego.

Replace Jewish people with all immigrants and the disabled with trans people and you start to see how similar it all gets. Brownshirts become ICE agents.

I will say that Chalamet continues to impress (after me really not liking him for the longest time - took Dune for me to change my mind).
