Differences should interest us, not divide us. Let’s help each other relearn community and kindness.

Please do not conflate or confuse faith and religion. The former is a beautiful, personal connection of soul to the universe; the latter has become suffused with people who use others’ beliefs as a way to control and indoctrinate them.
I was actually reading through my posts and thinking they sound Pollyanna-ish.

We have seen how a constant barrage of hate, division and lies can permeate people on the receiving end. Why can’t the opposite do the same? Love, unite and speak truth.

I am starting a blog. More to come.

In the meantime, love and kindness are renewable resources: the more you give them the more they spread into the world. So be generous.

Religious leaders who preach hate, division and greed have love only for their egos and bank accounts. They worship power and profit.

So why let them act as necessary intermediaries between us and the Powers That Be? We don’t need anything more than the contents of our hearts to worship.

If you must judge others, judge them by their character, not by their genetics.

I bought coffee and food for a homeless vet today.

He told me we live in the greatest country on earth but 33,000 veterans live on the street. And he has to panhandle all day to afford a meal.

Homeless people are still people. Please see them. SEE them.

Partisan politics and speech vilify those who disagree. And politicians and pundits who condemn bipartisanship should be regarded warily, even distrustfully, because they don’t want what’s best for all Americans.

We need to embrace bipartisanship and compromise.

What strikes me most about UHC CEO Brian Thompson’s death is that public reactions are overwhelmingly unsympathetic and many even celebratory.

Violence should never be the answer, but I hope this death spurs other oligarchs to reign in corporate greed before the pot fully boils over.

Sleep well, friends, and bring to life tomorrow the world you want to see.

The world is only as ugly as we choose to make it.

Choose beauty and kindness over the hideousness of hate.

Be kind to others, yes, but be kind to yourself too.

May your sleep bring you peace and your rest grant you energy to stand strong in the morning.

Peace be your journey.

Judging others says nothing about them and a lot about the person being judgmental.

For too long we’ve allowed others to stoke anger and fear as a distraction from their own greed and power mongering. Some politicians, media personalities, even religious leaders want to pit us against each other for their profit.

We have more in common with each other than differences.

If someone says you’re nice to others so people like you, explain that no, you’re nice to others so that you can like you.
