This is all essentially true for autistic people, too (we have a much higher rate of suicide [& higher rate of being trans] than our allistic peers). Remember this when RFK's so-called "researchers" claim they found the "cause" of autistm & the means of "eradicating" our existence at the source.
As with most aspects of transmedicalisation, the psychopathologisation of trans suicide as something characteristics of us rather than a product of our difficulties within a hostile social environment serves to mask the function of power and social coercion in killing trans youth.
I guess "Young people who died with gender distress" just sounds so much nicer and cleaner than "Trans kids we drove into a state of suicidal despair," doesn't it?
