We aren’t stupid. We know what’s in that bill- not stuff that’s going to benefit veterans, teachers, students, or people needing healthcare. John’s Hopkins is losing $800M in research $ and will lose 2,000 staff. That $ could save lives. One of those lives could be yours. Don’t run for re-election.

Not sure what to call your Reps/Senators about? Choose one a day! Don’t want to call? Write postcards to them in the evening. Or a longer letter once a week. Just let them know we won’t tolerate this crap!

We pay taxes to support national infrastructure, which includes qualified, well-trained, and experienced people! Our numbers have to grow. We all have to do more to SHOW them.

The time to speak is now! Many of us are stepping outside our comfort zones and making phone calls, sending postcards and letters, going to town halls, and PROTESTING in the streets. If you care about your fellow/ Americans, try to do at least one each day. 10 minutes/day adds up if we all do it!

Agreed. But I don’t think we’re being noisy enough. We need to be demanding more visibility from our leaders, and WE must be more visible. I call my Rep & Senators everyday. I thank them if they deserve it, criticize them when they don’t, and ask for specific action on issues.

I think you’ve mistaken that with claims about the Pope. If the Constitution were infallible, they wouldn’t have added the Bill of Rights and the ability to make amendments. The Constitution/government must adjust to changing times or it becomes corruptible. As we learn more, we must do more.

We start over. We have to. And we start with 21st Century laws and protections our ancestors would never have imagined needing.
