The bottom of the enclosed shelves is still sort of a WIP but this is where I keep my history and theory books as well as bound essays, dissertations, and academic work I’ve printed out for keeping. I’m also storing old sketchbooks from college here.

On the shelf by the stairwell I have most of my classics/historics on alternating shelves!! I also ofc have my designated WHA shelf… 🥹💕 At the very bottom is my reference shelf!! I keep my art books, child psychology, and ND help here. :)

My absolutely insane take of the day is that Eisenstein’s Fyodor Basmanov has notable connections to Glumov from Eisenstein’s very first film of 1923 more than twenty years prior and that they have a remarkably similar function in terms of their “plasticity” and motives.

Now this is all actually exceptionally funny because as far as I’m concerned, nowhere in the original dialogue does Vladimir mention “lambs” at all—it seems like something Mosfil’m just added to the subtitles to dress up the imagery. But this was the first sub I ever watched of the film so I—
