However, since those times that I used public transportation, it has barely improved. It's been several years now and I still would consider the whole system semi functional. If it was better than it currently is, I would be using it in a heartbeat. I drive now because it's more convenient for me.

As someone that used public transportation for several years before I started driving, I both agree and disagree with this. I'm glad transportation exists within my city. Without it, I don't know how I could have gone to and from work and school without going fully broke.
