Very disappointing result given the experience we had on the pitch. Strange decision to put Femke in for her first start in such a key away game. Better in the latter stages, with Jas and Beth making a difference, but of course it was all too late by then.

Can't disagree with that, it was painful to watch. Femke's bound to be a bit nervy, defence needs to give her more protection. Looks like it's Morgan giving the pep-talk in the huddle there. Jas on for hopefully a bit more creativity in midfield.

Ah, I didn't realise she was at that game! That puts a different spin on things then. I feel like we could do with some extra height in defence, and she (and Gosia) certainly have that. Hope they both get some game time soon.

Do you know what the situation is with Anna Tamminen? Is she injured? There was all the fanfare around her signing and then she hasn't featured in the squad at all and no-one at the club seems to be mentioning her!

Yes, her family are NUFC I think. I hoped she'd be back this season too, but perhaps there were too many ties to Durham and once they showed an interest in having her back they were favourites.

Thanks! I'd forgotten that derby game was on tonight. Former Mags Amber-Keegan Stobbs (now Durham) and Hannah Greenwood (now Mackems) may both be involved. Also Poppy Pritchard (Durham) but we saw so little of her in b&w that it's a bit of a stretch to say 'former Mag'. :(

Yep, frustrating. That's one off-the-pitch aspect that the club needs to improve. Only having one fit keeper is a pretty significant talking point though, so I hope someone asks Becky the question.

Any idea why we weren't able to include a keeper on the bench? I know Hannah has been ill recently (although she did travel with the team) but where were Anna and Femke?

Agreed, but I don't think 'the project' Tamminen has been sold is for her to a bench-warmer. We'll see in due course, I guess. :)
