It's International Owl Awareness Day!

Lots of bog owls (AKA short-eared owls) live around us. Last year a group of 7 or 8 of them flew up from the road ahead of us. And then this happened...

As @blindboyboatclub.bsky.social told @dianearodgers.bsky.social about dangers of fairy forts & stones, I'm now remembering the number of these we fucked with in Ireland last year. From descending to Tír na nÓg at Oweynagat to touching the Catstone at Uisneach, we set ourselves up for an enchantment

Fabulous night at the Folk Preservation Society with Crab & Bee. Audience members brought tales of ghost houses and forests, helicopter rides, and spirits below the kitchen floor.

Next stop, Beast Night in Stroud on Sunday. Almost sold out... get your tickets now

I think I found the Sycamore Gap memorialized in pebble form, on a beach in Devon.

At Elberry Cove
I found a rock
And on that rock
There grew a tree

I placed that rock
Inside my van
And now that tree
Can go with me

More fabulous reviews coming in for Crab & Bee's Matter of Britain, the book is "like British folktales rewritten by the Mighty Boosh", as if "Kurt Vonnegut wrote Tolkien's Silmarillion", and "like TS Eliot's Waste Land, I can't tell whether it's ancient history or prophecy".
