They had an orchestra playing so maybe a few audiophiles tweaked the sound to perfection for this one. The worst place acoustically is without question the Hydro. Made worse by the chatty crowd. I have made the questionable choice to see MBV there at the end of the month. Will be LOUD!

Wow. That's a brutal review. Sounds grim. I've actually been further along that side for Rufus Wainwright, (that side is preferable as you get to see the piano keys!) So we were kind of looking over Rufus' shoulder when he was at the piano. But otherwise had a great view and the sound was magic

So I just went for it. I was nearly 3000 in the queue the next day in the general sale so zero chance. I don't understand the motivation to fake tickets as the seller doesn't get paid until I gain entry on the night. They just massively scalp the buyer. So hopefully I'm just skint and not humiliated

I really didn't know too much about them and I've never used them before, but I kind of really wanted to go to this particular show, it's a the concert hall in Glasgow which is acoustically outstanding and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. So steep learning curve

I thought viagogo was a genuine site even though it's the home of some very shady scalpers. Is it all just a front or is it a genuine business? Had not used it before.

Thanks, good to hear a positive outcome. I suppose that as the vendor doesn't get money unless I enter the venue, and I get a refund if I can't get in, then that is a bit of safety there. Or maybe it doesn't work like that at all and my bank account is full of moths. Took a chance
