Work in progress. "Pearl" trader inspired by Matthew 7:6.
Another pearl for today: Rather than emphasizing His power, Jesus first came in humility as a servant of God to restore humanity to a right relationship with Him through Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross in our place, for our sins.

Another pearl for today: The lawless seek to capitalise on existing tensions to sow divisions when unity is fragile. In contrast, the Lord's people diligently seek seek unity and reconciliation, following the example of Christ.

Pearl for today: The ultimate joy that we have as the Lord's people isn't dependent on our circumstances, but on His character and promises instead. We find our security in His steadfastness, align our lives with His truth, and can express the true joy that comes from living in harmony with Him.

Another pearl for today: Sin is the underlying tragedy that damages relationships and creates division. Healing and reconciliation doesn't happen without work. Only Christ's finished work on the cross is sufficient to fully heal and restore relationships damaged by sin.

Another pearl for today: The Lord's people know that effectively putting what we have been given to work for Him, has an eternal reward.

Another Pearl for today: The root cause of division, war, and death in this tragic world, is sin. Because of it, complete peace and unity in this world won't happen until the Lord's return and restoration. However, His people can be at peace with Him now, through Christ.

Another pearl for today: The Bible teaches the Lord's people that worldly freinds, even trusted ones, can become dangerous enemies. However, God is ultimately in control and we will always have Jesus as our freind.

Another pearl for today: Lord's people should earnestly seek Him first in all things. Our actions should also reflect a bold faith in who He is, the Messiah.

Another pearl for today: The Lord's people act justly because He requires us to do so, not for self promotion.

Pearl for today: For the Lord's people to usher in and be a part of the kingdom of God, we must live out our understanding that we are essentially servants, even when we are recognized in leadership roles.

Pearl for today: The Lord's people have the greatest friend anyone could possibly have: Jesus Christ. In contrast, worldly freinds are fallible and in some cases aren't truly freinds.

Pearl for today: The Lord's people know our first opportunities for discipleship, service, and obedience are here and now in our everyday lives, not necesarily in some religious institution or position.
January 2, 2026 at 4:46 PM
Another pearl for today: The Lord's people are not inherently righteous. We need His forgiveness, and should always be receptive to the Holy Spirit examining our motives.

Another pearl for today: Living in unrepentant adultery is evidence of one who is not truly a part the Lord's people.

Pearl for today: The Holy Spirit lives in the physical bodies of the Lord's people. Accordingly, we should strive to treat our bodies as holy places.

Another pearl for today: Unrepentant, hypocritical, sinful behavior by someone who claims to be a believer should not be tolerated among the Lord's people.

The Lord's people today have the Gospel to understand what Jesus communicated to His disciples. However, we can still misunderstand what He communicates to us, particularly when it does not fit our expectations and biases. We need help from the Holy Spirit to open our eyes.

Another pearl for today: God calls some of His people earlier in life than others to partake of His grace. Wether a life-long believer or a new one, we are all rewarded with eternal life.
December 27, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Another pearl for today: The Lord's people understand from scripture that embodying the values of His kingdom means living justly and rightly.
December 26, 2025 at 11:39 AM
Another pearl for today: The Lord's people are part of His eternal kingdom. The King is the Son of God who came in the flesh (as we celebrate on Christmas) in order to be our Savior. He rules in our hearts now, and will also rule forever.

Another pearl for today: God's promises to His people are sure and steadfast. He fulfills His word in His timing and way, as seen in the fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant through Solomon and ultimately through Jesus Christ.

Rather than striving for worldly greatness, the Lord's people simply trust in Jesus and serve Him by serving others. We are to: use any power, influence, or resources to serve others; have humility and meekness; and value loving, the way He loved us, more than earthly things.
