I’m visiting my brother before Dragonmeet (he moved to the UK last year) and he took me to his local comic store where I found this! It’s the first time seeing my comic in the wild. The owner even asked me to sign it, which I did. My brother seemed very proud 🥺

Wrote this yesterday about how sometimes I feel sad after having hung out with people.
The emptiness that comes from having felt whole. It is laughter in a jar kept on a wonky shelf that acts as a counterweight. It is the silence that seeps from the divot on your sofa after the walls cradled a dozen voices, loved. It is the glass with mouth marks and one final sip that sits on your kitchen counter for the next three days. You don’t have a dishwasher, and no one to do the dishes with. The loss of light as your laptop closes. The lack of padded pressure around the ears. The pain in your cheeks but without the smile that soothes it. After having felt whole I become the dog that bites its own tail until it bleeds. The choir that ignores the conductor. The world becomes small and loud and I find myself drowning in it without a hand to hold. I think I feel sad when love leaves the room because I do not know how to generate it for myself. I am a hearth left with nothing but embers after stories told and drinks finished. Everyone has gone to sleep. There is no more wood providing me with warmth. This is the emptiness that comes from having felt whole.

Took these yesterday night. I was trying to capture the thunderstorm but instead my attention got drawn to the reflection of my living room in the window (first photo). After that, I turned my camera inwards to capture more.

Love having a ttrpg character that started out as “would self-sacrifice to save their loved ones at any moment” but then did a 180 into “would take any deal if it kept them alive so they can protect their loved ones” (and they have made many).

I loved writing a nursery rhyme for this, based on input given by @in-the-pan.bsky.social (something something farming). Also love putting two characters that don’t know how to hold a normal conversation to save their lives together. All in all, good fun ❤️
