Which adults should be vaccinated or have titers checked?
If you were born before 1957, you are presumed to be immune, having likely been infected with measles. No vaccine is needed.
If you were vaccinated before 1967, you may have received an inactivated vaccine, which may not be as effective.

Risk Zone: Our area is not currently in a high-risk zone, so there’s no need to vaccinate early unless advised by your healthcare provider. But, if you're traveling or in an outbreak zone, it’s important to stay protected!

Current MMR Vaccine Recommendations:
Infants 1 year and older: It’s essential to get the MMR vaccine.
Anyone 6 months or older: Should be vaccinated if they’re in an area where an outbreak is occurring.
Traveling internationally: 2 doses of the MMR vaccine are recommended before travel.

I fixed my settings and encourage you to set yours to remind you to alt text too!

I forgot to add alt text to the image. It is a picture of a Zarbee's infant cough product. At the top and bottom are yellow caution tapes. Baby on the box is circled in red with a DANGER stamp next to it. Dark honey is also circled in red.

Always read labels carefully before purchasing or giving any product to your baby. If it contains honey, it’s not safe for infants under 1 year.

The 12-24 months is hidden in the top corner in grey, with an image of a peach below it. The gold ribbon states it's the #1 recommended brand for BABIES and children.

How do these labels happen? Are pediatricians surveyed? I've never met one who is.

And I don't ever recommend Zarbees. Buy honey.

Note the colorful "baby" labeling in the center, implying this is for infants.

Inspired by nature is right above baby, again implying safety - because nature always seems safe, until you realize that things in nature can be very dangerous.

Understanding tuberculosis: A guide for parents
You may have seen recent news about a tuberculosis (TB) outbreak in Kansas. While this may sound alarming, it's important to note the risk to the general public remains very low. Health officials are ...

TB spreads through the air, similar to other respiratory infections. Wearing a well-fitted mask in crowded or enclosed spaces can help reduce your risk — not just for TB, but for colds, flu, and other airborne illnesses.

If you've been exposed, the health department will contact you and you can get tested to see if you have evidence that you're infected. TB can remain in a body for years without symptoms (latent infection), and that's the best time to treat.

If you have symptoms, talk to your doctor!
