So I went for a ramble to catch the last of the Solstice sun
An alpine scene. Dark forest across the bottom third, with a couple of distant snow covered alps crowning this centre & left. The 2 thirds above is sky with a delicate lace ribbon of cloud. The sky is darker blue on the left, as the night's vanguard creeps in, with the tips of the cloud ripened to a barely perceptible shade of pink. From the right looking left, the sky is almost white, but brilliant from the dying rays from the sun B&W shot in dying light - which I took not even 10 mins after the other! Silhouettes of a lamp post, the top of a veeeery pointy church tower in the backgound, top of a spruce (xmas) tree & a building (on the right) already shrouded in night, while to the left, the very last of the sun before it disappears behind the hill, illuminating the few clouds in the sky & the 2 aeroplane exhaust trails like random chalk marks not cleaned off a blackboard
