Same. I started recording conversations. In one HR meeting I invited everyone to listen to the actual conversation. My manager insisted this was an offense in Ontario and that I could be fired. I said "well you got me. Let's proceed." The HR Manager didn't even broach the topic and moved on. 😅

My wife works at LHSC in London Ontario, and it is by far the most corrupt institution that I have come to know in all my years.

Their HR exists to protect terrible managers and fire low level employees over personal and bigoted beefs.

"That's how HR always works!" But, they take it next level.
