It would be very interesting to see a chart of flows for this cohort post 2020 to further your point. I’m in the group and I’ve kept putting money in, but know a ton of people who got burned it 20-21 and lost interest.

Doesn’t explain all of it of course, but some of that is just how compounding works.

But agree with your larger point that this cohort is fickle and will likely turn on a dime if the market ever suffers a prolonged bear.
