Nobody does niche stationery like Japan... the Pentel Multi 8 is like one of those Bic switchable multicolor ballpoint pens, except it's a 2mm leadholder with 8 different colour 2mm leads.

The Pentel Super Multi 8. It's a somewhat top-heavy looking (but not nearly as much as you might think) writing instrument, made of a combination of transparent and solid gray plastic. There are markings around the thicker part of the barrel to aid in selecting a lead/pen, by rotating a section and aligning the indicator with the desired colour/pen/lead. I'm terrible at explaining things concisely and I apologize.
