• All, from home or off. work 11am to 3pm
• Start between 7 and 11 am
• End between 3 and 7 pm
Why?
• Better sleep habits
• Efficient businesses
• Less loneliness

As years go by, we might lose a bit of sight or hearing... BUT, we gain FREEDOM. Flexibility. Leisure time.

Ran from High Park to Beaches, 15.4 Km to visit Gemma, 2 week old granddaughter! Hope to run over many more years...

To an adult, tree rounds scattered around a schoolyard may seem a little boring. But through the eyes of a child, stumps can be magical. Kids love them.

The pandemic was horrible, but, it showed that major changes could be done. Fast!
San Francisco's streets for cars, became parks for people. Afterwards, they stayed for people of all ages to walk, bike, run, chat, socialize.
Health & Happiness. We learned from superb Parks & Rec. GM Phil Ginsburg.

Nature doesn't do straight lines.
Nature doesn't do neat lawns, pruned hedges, orderly flower beds.
Imperfect attracts more pollinators, fungi, microbes, birds... and they thrive.
Sugi restores pockets of forest — messy, native, self-sustaining ecosystems.

Nice report by Straits Times on how Singapore was transformed into a Garden City, offering shade and a green respite for its people.
I've enjoyed working there, nature everywhere.

Positive.News: 20% increase in receiving school meals globally.
Child nutrition: equalizer. Magnificent investment, if we improve the beginnings, 0 - 5 and 6 - 12 y/o, we improve their lives.
It should be priority, everywhere. Children's nutrition.

What makes Barcelona very good (there is no 'perfect city'), is its attitude of continuous improvement.
Now, huge problem with schools:
• Over half met. schools in critical environment for children's health & safety.
• Too many cars, polluted air, lack of trees, narrow sidewalks, etc.

Low speed gets people of all ages & abilities walking, riding bikes, socializing, community building.

On High Park? Bloor + Parkside, force low speed. SAVE lives. 30Kph max, bumps every 100 metres, raised crosswalks.
Councillor Perks & mayors Chow & Tory should have done it years ago on Parkside.

Toronto. Hard to accept from Ford, but, it works.
High end neighborhoods have ALL streets at 30Kph AND bumps; why not citywide? SAVE lives. Do it now!
